My honkai star rail 3rd closed beta experience Part 2:the game play and game mechanisms

my experience for the 3rd closed beta test of honkai star rail.

part 2: the game play and game mechanisms

Action bar:

One of the features that impressed me most in the game was the action bar. It is a graphical interface that shows the order and timing of each unit's turn in the battle. The action bar is located on the top left corner of the screen, and it displays icons for every unit involved in the combat, whether they are allies or enemies. If a unit is defeated, its icon will disappear from the action bar. Each icon also has a number on the bottom right corner, which indicates the unit's speed. The speed number is calculated based on the unit's sped attribute and a secret formula. The higher the speed number, the faster the unit will act.

The action bar is not static, however. It can change dynamically depending on the skills and effects that are used in the battle. For example, some units have skills that can increase their own or their allies' speed, such as Asta's ultimate skill that boosts the sped attribute of all team members. Some units can also manipulate the action bar directly, such as Bronya and Tingyun, who can give themselves or their allies an extra turn by moving their icons ahead on the action bar. On the other hand, some units can also decrease their enemies' speed or interfere with their action bar, such as Welt, who can slow down enemy units with his skill, or Pela, who can remove any positive effects from enemy units with her skill. These skills add a lot of strategy and depth to the combat system, as you have to plan your moves carefully and anticipate your enemies' actions.

The toughness shields:

One of the key features of the game is the toughness shields system. This system adds a layer of strategy and challenge to the combat, as each enemy has a different type of shield that can be broken by using the right element. The toughness shields are represented by a bar on top of the enemy's health bar, and they also show the element that is effective against them. When the toughness shield is depleted, the enemy enters a shock mode, where they are stunned for one turn and take more damage from our attacks. This is a great opportunity to unleash our strongest skills and finish them off quickly.

The toughness shields system becomes more important as we progress through the game, especially in the spiral abyss and simulator universe modes. These modes require us to complete various missions with different conditions, such as clearing a stage within a certain number of turns or using specific elements. To succeed in these modes, we need to pay attention to the toughness shields of the enemies and build our team accordingly. We should also try to use elemental reactions to deal more damage and break the shields faster. For example, if we encounter an enemy with a water shield, we can use an ice character to freeze them and then switch to a physical damage character to shatter them.

The toughness shields system adds a lot of depth and fun to the game, as it encourages us to experiment with different characters and elements. It also rewards us for being strategic and adaptive in our battles. However, it can also be frustrating if we don't have the right characters or elements for a certain enemy. In that case, we might have to fight for a long time and use a lot of resources to win. Therefore, it is advisable to always check the toughness shields of the enemies before entering a battle and prepare our team accordingly.

Character selection:

One of the most interesting aspects of the game is the action bar, which shows the order and timing of the units' actions. By choosing different units and skills, I could manipulate the action bar and create various strategies and tactics. For example, I could use a skill that delays an enemy's action, or one that speeds up my own unit's action. This way, I could gain an advantage over the enemy and plan ahead. The action bar adds a lot of depth and complexity to the game and makes it more fun and exciting to play.

Now back to the main story:

the experience of using Kafka is fun but short, till the end of the beta test I didn’t get a chance the use Kafka again, I don’t know Kafka will be playable any sooner, but she will be a playable character in the future without an adult.

With silver wolf’s help we finally opened the destruction stella, and surprisingly Kafka used this shining thing created a human, and that is how our main character was born, we were made to choose a gender male or female, I choses female and typed my name, now or main character was created and our element is destruction, you can think it as a physic attack element, through the beta experience I know this path destruction usually used as main damager dealer, and our main character is really strong different from some other games I used to play, so we should priorities to enhance our main character.
