My honkai star rail 3rd closed beta experience Part 1: how I got the beta test access.
This is my experience for the 3rd closed beta test of honkai star rail
part 1: how I got the beta test access.
Sign up for the beta test:
The 3rd closed beta test was the final and most comprehensive one before the official launch. It was open to a limited number of players who had to register through the official website. The registration period was from January 15th to February 15th, and the beta test was scheduled to run from February 10st to March 20th.
I registered for the beta test access as soon as I saw the announcement on their social media accounts. I filled out the form on their website, which asked for some basic information such as my name, email address, device model, and preferred language. I also had to answer some questions about my gaming preferences and expectations for honkai star rail. I submitted the form and waited for the confirmation email.
Disappointed and confused:
However, when they announced the list of selected participants on February 5th, I was not on it. I felt disappointed and confused. I checked their website and social media accounts again, but there was no explanation or update. I thought that maybe they had too many applicants and I was unlucky. I saw other people who got the beta test access sharing their confirmation emails and posts on social media. I felt envious and sad. I resigned myself to watching their streams and videos online, just like I did for the previous two beta tests that I also missed.
Acquired access for the final closed beta:
But then, something unexpected happened. On February 9th, the day before the beta test started, I received an email from miHoYo. It said that I had been selected as a backup participant for the 3rd closed beta test of honkai star rail. It said that some of the original participants had dropped out or failed to meet the requirements, and they had randomly chosen me from the waiting list. It said that I had to download the game client from a link they provided and log in with my account before March 1st. It also said that I had to agree to their terms and conditions and follow their rules during the beta test.
I was overjoyed and surprised. I couldn't believe that I had gotten a second chance to join the beta test. I quickly downloaded the game client and installed it on my device. It took a long time because the file size was huge, but I didn't mind. I stayed up all night waiting for the game to finish downloading and updating. I couldn't sleep because I was too excited and nervous.
Prepare for the beta test officially began.
I am very excited to share that I have received the honkai star rail 3rd closed beta test access on both pc and android device. This is a great opportunity to experience the game before its official release and provide feedback to the developers. However, I also have to be careful not to violate the beta policy, which states that each platform can only be used on one device. If I break this rule, I risk losing my beta test access and being banned from the game. Therefore, I decided to install the game on only one android phone, even though I have another one. I think this is a fair and reasonable policy that ensures a smooth and secure testing process for everyone.
The next day, February 10st, at 10:00 am (GMT+8), the beta test officially began. I logged in with my account and entered the game world. I was greeted by a stunning cinematic intro that showed me the background story and setting of honkai star rail.
Begins with a cinematic scene:
The game begins with a cinematic scene that shows Kafka, a member of the Stella Hunter faction, playing her air violin in a space station. She was interrupted by an invasion of monsters from the Unknown, a mysterious force that seeks to destroy the Stellan civilization. Kafka grabs her long knife and Uzi machine gun and fights her way through the enemies, while the other Herta soldiers try to defend the station.
Her objective is to reach the storage room where the Herta keep their rare and valuable items, including the Stella of Destruction, a powerful artifact that can unleash devastating energy. Along the way, she encounters Silverwolf, another Stella Hunter who is also after the Stella of Destruction. They decide to team up and face the final boss, a giant monster that guards the storage room. The game then switches to gameplay mode, where the player can control Kafka or Silverwolf and use their weapons and skills to defeat the enemy and claim the prize…
